FISHING - Lake Nottley, Lake Blue Ridge, Hiwassee Lake, Appalacia Lake, Lake Chatuge, Cherokee Lake and others are all in the area. Rivers and Creeks are numerous. There are also many privately owned Trout Ponds, where you don't need a license or fishing equipment.

SHOPPING - Antique Shops, Flea Markets, Craft Shops, Outlet Stores, Christmas Shops and many Specialty Stores. You can truly "shop ‘till you drop"! You can even cut down your own Christmas tree at one of the many tree farms.

COUNTRY FAIRS - In the Fall, the area has many Fairs and Festivals. With Country Crafts, Blue Grass Music, Fantastic Food and Entertainment for the entire family.

NATURAL BEAUTY - In Spring the mountains renew the ageless cycle of life. In a few short weeks the bare tree branches are bursting with brilliant green leaves, refreshed by sparkling water falls, cascading into the mountain rivers and creeks. Our Fall leaf season is likened to that of New England. Brilliant orange, yellow, gold and red are only a taste of the colors in this dazzling display. Some parts of the area receive more snow than others.
